The act may be carried out by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority or against a person who is incapable of giving valid consent, such as one who is unconscious, incapacitated, has an intellectual disability or is below the legal age of consent .

Yesterday a student of the College of Education, COE Sagbama Bayelsa state (name witheld) was raped while coming from a night class.
According to a source he made it clear to Primebrains Media that they were all coming from a class when some group of boys armed with guns attacked them and robbed them while the raped the girls. Among the girls they raped one collapsed as a result of the rape action. According to him he said
As they robbed us they started beating us while the other 3 guys raped the girls. When they were done they left us. I rushed to the girls they other one was unconcious as we rushed her to the hospital before the doctors attended to her she gave up
We are begging the Government/security officers to be vigilant in their duties to safeguard us the students.
