Barcelona Reportedly Offer Rafinha To Arsenal

After bringing Alexandre Lacazette to Emirate, Arsenal are set to sign another player from Barcelona.

Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona midfielder Rafinha.

Sources close to the player have told us they believe Barcelona would listen to offers of more than £27m.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu said last week that Rafinham would not be sold.

Rafinha has been on the fringes of the Barcelona team for some time, and could now be looking for opportunities elsewhere

He’s made just 24 La Liga appearances in the last two seasons. Barcelona are said to be open to selling him as a result and would be willing to sell him to Arsenal despite the recent drama over Hector Bellerin.

Arsenal may be looking at midfielders this summer due to Santi Cazorla’s injury problems. However, while Rafinha is a talented player, it wouldn’t make much sense for Arsenal replace an injured player with an injury-prone player.

Rafinha, whose brother Thiago plays for Bayern Munich, only started 16 matches in all competitions for Barca in the last campaign.

He is due to miss the start of next season due to a knee injury, but that is not thought to have put off Arsene Wenger.

Rafinha would offer the Frenchman some versatility once he returns to full fitness.

He is equally as comfortable playing right-back as well as in central midfield.
