Niger Delta University set to resume from its 4months strike

Lecturers from Niger Delta University (NDU) in Bayelsa State embarked on an indefinite strike until all outstanding salaries accrued are paid since 28th April 2016.
Source at the various meetings confirmed that though the earlier condition of lectures to be paid Four out of six months salaries being owed was reduced to two months due to the State Government complaint of paucity of fund, the lecturers may resume next week.
Meanwhile, the Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson has again vowed not to allow any individual or group to destroy the Niger Delta University (NDU) because of selfish interest.

It was reported today that the Governor has paid all 2 months successfully today being Friday 19th August 2016

They institute will announce its resumption next week.
