3 students Apprehended For Trying To Shoot Lecturer At Niger Delta University

Three final year Students (names withheld)  have been apprehended by members of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) at the Bayelsa state varsity,  Niger delta university, Wilberforce Island. 



According to an eye witness who was at the scene,  He said:

" The students came into the campus with a flashy car,  parked it closed to the hall where the first semester examination for the 2018/2019 session was going on,  they came in with their guns and shot thrice  into the air and everyone  ran for their dear lives. I ran also.  Later they were apprehended by the the police force". 

They students gave their department as animal scienes and management science respectively. Meanwhile more investigations is ongoing concerning  who sent them and why. 

Recall that last week,  similar situation happened  at the main campus lecture hall 1 and 2 where guns shots was heard and students took to their heels, some injured  themselves at the cost of trying to protect their lives. 

We urge all students to be vigilant this period and be security conscious,  report any suspicious movement, acts to the school security department.
